Hi,

We have to design and manufacture the following pipeline in accordance to ASME B31.3:

Is it possible to obtain a 1/2" 90° elbow (even long or short radius) from a bended tube SCH. 80 in ASME SB-165 N04400 (Monel 400)?

Thanks in advance

It's not a pipeline it's a piece of pipe.

And yes, just bend it over a mandrel. Or pipe bender.

The Iso shows no fitting so the designer thinks it can be bent from a straight piece of pipe on site.

Remember - More details = better answers
Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.

If you bend on site, then you should UT check the thickness of the outside of the bend and measure the external ovality of the bend.
There are limits on both of these.

Thank you for the answers.

EdStainless, why did you mention "If you bend on site"?
Don't we have to follow this requirement if we perform the bending in our workshop?
