Hi everybody, perhaps it's a quite common question but here I go.
We're working with a Project with a ASME Code, but due to market restrictions the workshop is offering in replace for ASME material a EN material.
The place is outboard of USA and European Union. Is allowed to use with the ASME Code an EN Material?
Thanks in advance!
Peter

What is the country the vessel is going to, and what's the legislation there? Are there any directives or other regulations applicable by law for the place the vessel will be put in service? What does your contract spell out?

XL83NL, I'm trying to get the normatives of the country.
But the replace I want to make is an SA-36 material by a P275NH, as far I know (but I couldn't check it) the steels of EN10028-3 are allowed by the ASME Code. Could you or anyone confirm this?
Thanks in advance!

PeterWay,

Yes. SA/EN10028-3 is listed in table UCS 23 and Sec II Part D provides stress values. See page 10 of current ed.

Thanks weldtek, do you know how is the procedure in case of other materials allowed for pressure use in EN 13445? In example listed EN 10028-2,
thanks!
