ASME Fluid codes

Hi guys,

(Let me first express my Happiness to post my first question on that forum)
My question is related to the Fluid codes used on piping line list, Where can we find complete fluid codes list such as (SW: Sea Water, FSW: Flocculated Sea Water, AL: Ammonia Liquid, AG: Ammonia Gas...) ?

I'm fairly sure you won't find such a list of abbreviations in "ASME". Note ASME is a large organization publishing many codes and standards. It would help if you narrowed it down a bit. I searched ASME B 31.3 and "fluid codes" shows no results.

These look like a company fluid designation table for use in a line list or similar abbreviations.

You often find them in a list or table on the P&ID legend sheet or some other similar coding and numbering document either for your project or your company. There are simply too many possible substances for anyone to list them in a uniform manner.

OK noted, ASME code doesn't give abbreviations list of fluids.
It should be specific to company/ project..

Correct. This information should be in the project or site engineering design manual.
