Hi! I am trying to get some information on valve requirements , in this case for a 6" butterfly valve. I would like to know in what article or where y can get information about what materials are specified or not for the seat of the valve. I am readig article ND-3500 but I can't conclude if seat material is specified or simply is not considered on ASME III for butterfy valves .

The design temp is 300 °C at 10 Pa[bar(g)]

Thanks a lot !

At 300 C, there is only one seat material for a butterfly valve. Metal, or metal with graphite laminate. Google "triple-offset" butterfly valves and review the manufacturer's literature for pressure-temperature ratings.

Is that not in your original manufacturer dwg?
The seat for a butterfly valve extends around the circumference of the interior of the valve at the seating area.

Are you trying to repair a 6 inch valve that has a steam cut or a failure?

racookpe1978 ,I am not trying to repair a valvle, it's for a ND auxiliary sistem specification alternative.

Thanks
