I know this has been a previous topic !
However I Urgently need Design Code Data:

I only have ASME B31.3 : 2010. Not listed in that issue.

SA-928 is not listed in the latest Section II Part A. It is listed in ASME IX as ASTM A-928.
The minimum tensile strength is 109 ksi for grade S32760 and 90 ksi for S32205.
It would appear that Code Case 2637 would apply for grade 32205 for ASME VIII, Div. 1 applications. Max allowable stress values are:
100 F 27.1 ksi
200 F 27.1 ksi
300 F 26.2 ksi
400 F 25.2 ksi
500 F 24.6 ksi
600 F 24.3 ksi

stanweld thanks for your responce.
However I am still having problems.

ASME A928 UNS S31803 (welded) Is not listed in
ASME Part D Materials
B31.3 : 2012

I desperately need the data for
Tensile
Yield
Sa
St

Regards Mike

This material is limited for use by the Code Case. You have tensile data (UTS and YS) listed above, and allowable stress values.

metengr,
thanks for your reply.
Sorry but I cannot see S31803 data above, only S32760 & S32205
To my knowledge these are not equivalents.
The following are required
Tensile
Yield
Sa
St

Can you post the data sheet, or give the URL where it can be viewed?

Regards Mike

Yes, I see that. The 31803 is permitted by Section I under current Code Case 2488-1. This material is currently listed in the 2010 Edition, 2011 addendum for 31803 in Section II, Part D, Table 1A.

The material above will not be under A 928. It must be SA-790 for use under Section I.
