Dear Experts,
As per QW-193.1,The mockup assembly shall essentially duplicate the tube hole configuration and the tube-to-tubesheet joint design within the limits of the essential variables of QW-288.

Question 1:Is tube hole configuration refers to tube hole pattern?
Question 2:Is tube hole pattern is essential variable in qualifiacation?

The tube hole configuration refers to the pattern (pitch) of holes on the tubesheet.

Question 2:Is tube hole pattern is essential variable in qualifiacation?

No. Don't confuse weld joint design with tube hole configuration. QW-193 clearly states..

The mockup assembly shall essentially duplicate the tube hole
configuration and the tube-to-tubesheet joint design within
the limits of the essential variables of QW-288.

If tube hole configuration is not refered to weld joint design then tube hole configuration (tube hole pattern) shall be essential variable in addition to essential variables given in QW-288.

If i used a square tube hole pattern in qualification,then can i rewrite another WPS for traingular pitch without changing other essential variables?

I would be more concerned with tubesheet thickness and hole sizes than hole layout pattern.

Pattern has nothing to do with the welding. Tube hole configuration and tube to tubesheet is the design of each tube joint to pay attention to. Genblr
