Hi Experts

We are going to build new vessel per ASME Sec VIII Div. 2.
Can we build new vessel as per old drawings and code revision (pre 1999). If yes then safety factor & stress should be used of old or new revision. please share reference of code.

Thanks, I thought it might be something like that.

There's usually a grace period when you can keep building to old codes when things are in process, but that sounds like a good plan once the code becomes officially published. But not 20+ yrs....
