Here is a sample scenario:
Minimum calculated design thickness = 0.2498 in
Ordered material thickness = 1/4 in = 0.2500 in
Received material thickness = 0.2410 in
0.06 * 0.2500 = 0.0150 in > 0.0100 (controls)
Minimum acceptable thickness = 0.2500 - 0.0100 = 0.2400 in < 0.2410 in
Therefore the material is usable.
