Hi,
I want to know ASAP that, is there any way to getting pass the shipped water boiler built under ASME SEC IV, in any European country, which requires boilers under only European standards- PED (CE)?
Is there any way to getting pass under European code, which built under ASME-IV, by providing only documents/calculations etc?
The local european inspector creating trouble for built ASME boiler.
Pls. help me asap.....

If there's a will there's a way! Ask the manufacturer first. If they can't - Theoreticaly shall be done lot's of mechanical tests required for recertification of materials + Reinspection of Welds. Anyway, it should be sent to their workshop. Case they can't find leftovers of the original material your vessel should look like a patchwork. + PWHT!. Actualy you'll only pay for these. The only mechanical works will affect a certain plate.
Keep the old one just in case U'll need it back ASME.
- I may recommend you some good willing PED authorised manufacturers around here.
PS.
Case U like playing on the edge,U can order a brand new lablel. (t's larger than the ASME one!) + a nice new book. The result is a brand new fully functional PED equipment + eventualy state accomodation for a couple of years anytime durring equipment's life.
