Hello,

I am sure that somewhere I saw a statement with respect to dimensioning that allowed omission of 2X in front of a dimension if the features are connected by a center line. Is this allowed or am I mis remembering? See attached image.

Thanks,

There is implied zero dimension between the holes, so you in fact already have two dimensions on your drawing. :)

RiversideME,

If you are using SolidWorks and you are applying centre lines, there is a setting that connects all the holes that are at the same dimension. If the holes are not at the same position, you know they don't line up.
