I am checking an existing exchanger for a new application (slightly superheated steam on shell, liquid on tube side). After inputing the exchanger's information, if I run it in "simulation" mode I get only 60% of the steam condensing vs. if I run it in "ratings" mode 100% of steam condenses. Anyone familiar enough with B-JAC to tell me why?

If you check the outlet temperatures in the 2 modes, they would be different.

In simulation mode, BJAC tries to adjust the outlet temperature that will use up all the surface area available.
