Assemblies won't open in V18

One of our users is able to open any .par file but when they attempt to open a .asm file they get a "File Load Failure" window that shows a list of all the files in the assembly. They can open any of these files individually. None of the file locations have changed and other users can open assemblies without problems. Any ideas? I hope you can help.
