Hi guys!
Pls how is the right sequences to calculate a center of mass (XYZ position) for an UG NX3 assembly?
I just kwow the single weight of all the assy components but I don't know the method for upload it in every part.
is it perhaps a problem of license?
thanks in advance
Best regards
Marco

First make sure that you have assigned the proper mass density to each one of the bodies which makes up your assembly. Then with the assembly on the screen go into...

Analysis -> Measure Bodies...

...and then do a Select All (either by click-dragging the entire screen or by pressing the 'Select All' icon on the Selection toolbar). Now select the 'Info' icon on the menu-bar and among other things, you'll find the X,Y,Z coordinates for the 'Center of Mass'.

If you would also like to create a point at the Center of Mass, as well as vectors representing the Principle Axes, at the left end of the menu-bar, select the 'Create Principle Axes' option (make sure it's toggled on) and then after selecting all of the assembly, push the Green 'check mark'.

All clear!
Thank you very much, John.
