Hi,
I am trying to copy an assembly from first folder to second seperate folder, but it is not allowing to copy without changing the names. It asks for rename or add prefix and 2 more options. Is there a way to copy an assebly as it is?
There are 100s of assemblies and parts in the first folder so copy/paste is very tedious.
Thanks,
Raj.

Seems that what you want to do is just collect the components of an assembly together and copy them to a separate folder.

One utility that may indeed help is ugzipc the program which you can find here.

Hi Hudson,
I am using NX4 and the ugZip is for UG 2 and 3. Will it work for NX4?
Thanks.

I've been running UGZip V1.05 with every version of NX since I first downloaded the utility 3 or 4 years ago and I've never had any problems including running it with yet to be released NX 7.5.

Yes, that version works fine in NX4. I use it every day.

For some installations you may need to scrounge the correct .dll file but it works on every version on NX for quite some time now.
