assembly constraints display 1

I love the way that assmebly constraints can be toggled on to show in the graphics window, however this gets quite busy on large models. Is there any way to select an individual component and dispay only the constraints that relate to that part and the parts to which it is constrained? NX7.5 BTW.

There are a couple of ways to do this. The easiest is to just expand the list of Constraints in the Assembly Navigator, select all of them, press MB3 and select 'Hide'. Now toggle ON the display of Constraints and then simple select and set to 'Show' those constraints that you wish to see.

Or if your assembly is truly large, with many constraints and it's a bit difficult to figure out which is which, with the display of constraints toggled ON, you can go to...

Assemblies -> Component Postion -> Show and Hide Constraints...

...and with the Visible Constraints option set to 'Connected to Components' and the 'Change Component Visibilty' toggled OFF (unless you would also like to filter the components as well) and the 'Filter Navigator' option toggled ON, select the Component(s) of interest and hit OK. Now only those constraints related to the selected component(s) will be visible in the graphics window.

Note that after doing this, you will need to go back to the Assembly Navigator and set all of the Constraints back to a 'Show' status if you wish to see all of them again.
