Hi all,

Just got this error for the first time in NX 10 (Windows 7 SP1 64 bit). I've been using it for months and never seen this before.

All i was trying to do was create a new part from within an assembly, I've done this before many times.

Has anyone seen this error before? Any ideas on how to prevent it?

Thanks,

Chris

.... and now it stopped responding :(

According to this message, NX tries to open a file on your system, but cannot find the file.
Can you check if that named file exists on your system ?
Can you check if you can open it ? ( File - Open... from NX )

Sometimes running software becomes "corrupted", then starting a new session might be the simple solution.

Tomas

Thanks Tomas

Yes, it's there.

Yes, it just opened fine, but took a few extra moments..

I'm just going to get back to work for now, fingers crossed this doesn't become frequent.

Look at the end of your log file. File Help Log file. Is there anything in it that gives a idea what is going on. If not GTAC may be able to help out also.

This logfile looks ok. It's not the one from the crash you had.
If I was you i would update the NX install, you are running 10.0.0. NX10.0.2 is available for download since a quite a while now.
It contains bugfixes for "NX10". And the enhanced dimensioning :)

Tomas

Tomas, thanks for the heads up. I will have to ask our account manager for the login info. Is this the correct download link?

It appears to be, but posting that link could prove to be a bit awkward since if you have a valid Webkey ID and, like MY system, it prompts you to enter it, it will immediately start downloading a multi-gigabyte zip file if you do :-0
