Assigning Slab property for a footing on SAFE

Hi all,

I'm checking a SAFE Model, found that a slab property is assigned for the all of the foundations what does that differ from assigning Footing property.? Thanks in advanced.

The only difference in output involves slight variations in rebar detailing. Analysis and design is otherwise the same.
