Does anyone could help me with information about suppliers or published prices for ASTM A36 steel plate up to 38mm of thickness (length = 12000mmm and width = 2440 mm)?

Thanks in advance.

I suppose that could vary widely depending on where you are at. I think prices here in the US are running around $0.45 per lb, or $20 per kg, in US dollars. Give or take maybe 10%. That's for US sizes as well. Oddball thickness will run the price up somewhat. Thinner plate will be a bit more than thicker plate.

Due to tight supply, prices are up, and mills may be reluctant to quote prices

Thank you very much for your help!

kenvlach: No need to be against the metric system(which makes much more sense)only time for us to joint the rest of the world.

Metric plate is indeed available and the steel supply has become more plentiful this past year.

deanc, it was an attempt at humor.
"$0.45 per lb, or $20 per kg" seems a bit high price to pay for metrification.

Hmmm-agreed. At $20 a kg we should stay imperial.

If I understood the right estimated price is around $0.45 / lb, what is the same of $1.00 / kg, not $20.00. Is that right?

The final price for this kind of material is aroud $1.00/kg?

Regards

Go to fittings and the pdf file download. Very, very good stuff. There is a plate converter that will give you #s and kilos.

Structural steel is about $.35-.45 per lb. and PVQ $.50-.65

Make sure you ask for MTRs.
