ASTM B619/B622 schedule sizes

Dear all,

I was looking at the ASTM B619/B622 standards (2004 version) for nickel alloy piping.
I noticed it said the sizes are acc to ASME B36.319M, meaning, sizes go to Sch 80 (for B619).
Does this mean Sch 160 and Sch XXS isnt available for e.g. Hastelloy C-276 pipe?

Or am i mislead by some misinterpretation?
Or is there some other ASTM that covers nickel alloy piping up to sch 160/XXS?

I'd like to know this since Im calculating a pipe spec, where the pipe's MAWP meets the rating of B16.5 group 3.8 2500 lbs WNRF flanges.

You can write a spec that extends to those sizes, but as B619/622 stand they don't cover the heavier sizes.

Hi Ed, thanks for replying. I also noticed that on Haynes' website, in their pdf, they state that Sch 160 is available for NPS 1/2" - 8".
Will such a pipe not be exterior labeled/printed with the ASTM B619 N10276 desingation (since it doesnt, per spec, comply with it)?

I believe that the pipe size tables are an appendix, therefore you can comply with the spec even if you don't work to those sizes.

There's a distributor in TX/LA that has ASME SB-622 / ASTM B622 Alloy C276 (UNS# N10276) seamless Sch.160 pipe on hand, in several sizes up to and including 2" IPS, mercury free with matching MTR's of course (and PMI avaialable at no charge).

To clarify on Ed's point above, if you're looking for large stuff, or large quantities, it would most likely need to be made. But for small quantities, you never know who has what lying around.

Thanks TJ and ED, this cleared things up for me. Its (fortunately) not that I need any 6" XXS Hastelloy C-276 pipe in the near future, but in case I ever do, I know how I might possibly get it.
ANd how the B622/B619 standard is setup (I believe I didnt misinterpreted it after all)
