Hi Forum,
I am dealing with a supplier that will be providing a dry packaged mix and should be upholding the standard on the subject. The ASTM specifies testing for each batch (6 cylinders; 3-7days, 3-28 days); however they do not provide this data for us. For quality control, per contract requirement, we do have to make cylinders ourselves for compressive strength testing; however I see this ASTM testing for "prevention" measures (Testing before customers receives final product). The cylinders we make ourselves is seen as "detection" measures to ensure after concrete is produced that it meets strength specifications.
Has anyone dealt with this ASTM before?
Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks,
