ASTM for hardness measures by resistivity?

Good morning to all,
I need to perform hardness check on some item using a portable Hardness tester.
The test shall be in accordance to an International Standard, ASTM would be the best option.

I found two possible methods:
- impedance
- resistivity

Hardenss measure by ultrasonic contact impedance method is standardized by ASTM A1038.
Hardness measure by resistivity is standardized by DIN 50157, but is didn't find ASTM Standard/Code for it.


Does anyone know if there is an ASTM Standard for hardness measures by resistivity method?

Forgive my ignorance: I am not sure what you mean by resistivity. You might want to check out ASTM A956 - Leeb/Equotip hardness which is measured using a dynamic rebound method.

mrfailure: sorry, probably I didn't translate correctly the term from italian language.
What I mean is the measure of the electric resistance, to get the hardness value of the material.

This method is used for example by the portable hardness tester Ernst Handy Esatest

There is no ASTM standard for hardness measurement according to electrical resistance (Ernst Handy Esatest).
