I am designing a large round fixture (85" dia.) In my drawing I am only showing the cross sectioned view of the part and the fixture. I want to show the outer and inner diameter on the drawing with the double arrow at one end.

Please help.

What CAD package? If they have a forum here, you might want to ask there.

Why ?

wouldn't it make more sense to show the diameter, and have the other diameter controlled by the thickness ? unless if you are starting with a solid bar, and machining out the core ...

If acad you can use the lenth dimension to create
a new type of dimension say dia dim and supplement
the dimension with Dia. or Diameter. We used this
technique for dimensioning bearing cross sections.

The ring is hollow. It is conical in shape 85" dia at the base - 58" dia at the top 10" hgt. .63" thk. There is an inner and outer ring that support it off the floor. I made a sectioned view of the left side - looking at the front plane. I am just trying to show the outer and inner dia of the outer ring. I'm looking for the command to show dimension that has the double arrow on one side.

I am using Pro/E Wildfire 3.0
