Attic Uplift on a townhome.

I was contracted to do repairs on a 20 yr. old townhome. There is attic uplift on parts of the upstairs rooms though not on all four walls/ceilings at any one point. It had been previously repaired aesthetically a few years ago but those spaklong repairs are filing now. I understand this is due to natural movement and am concerned that whatever I do aesthically will also fail unless structurally repaired. Or is there a way around it? Any advice would be gratly appreciated. Ducki@ NJDUCKI@aol.com

Contact a local structural engineer to come and look at the truss. Smaller structural/civil engineering offices will do this kind of work. When I worked for one, we got requests like this about once every couple of weeks. Usually, the small offices get quite good at providing solutions.
