Question:

At which step the AI (Authorized Inspector) should verify the NonDestructive written procedure?
1. Before the beginning of NDE works.
2. At the end of NDE works and before hydrotest.

Thank you to enlighten me on the subject.

All applicable procedures, this includes NDT and WPS/PQR should be reviewed by the AI prior to the start of fabrication.

We must keep apart:
1.) demonstration of NDE procedure to the satisfaction of the Authorized Inspector.
and
2.) verifying that required nondestructive examinations and other tests have been performed and that the results are acceptable

1.) must be performed prior of any NDE on code items, because the AI must assure himself that the NDE procedure provide the NDE personnel with all necessary information to get sufficient NDE results
2.) prior to pressure test, because acc. to UG-99 "(a) A hydrostatic test shall be conducted on all vessels after .... all examinations have been performed ...."

With the exception of RT....which can show Density and IQI requirements on a production radiograph. This would be acceptable demonstration.
