Auto assigning resources

Someone knows the way to make the microsoft project assign the resources automatically?
For example i have a task that can be executed from 2 different resources. How can i do to make the program assign automatically one of the two, for example the one that terminates her previous tasks before than the other?

I don't think there is an automatic way to do that, since the assignment of resources in Project is a manual affair.

The Assignment_delay field is supposed to tell you when a resource can be assigned, given the current workload.
