Autocad Civils 3D

Hi just a quick question is Civils 3D a stand alone package or is it an add on package to Autocad, basically can I do standard things you'd do on Autocad in civils 3d.

Yes - It is built on top of AutoCAD, so has the full functionality of base AutoCAD, plus the C3D tools.
