I have just loaded SW2006 to test it before moving over to the new version. I do a lot of sheet metal work and one new feature that could save a lot of time is the automatic addition of flange lrngths to the sketch when creating an edge flange. I have created edge flanges in SW2006 and no automatic dimension is added, has anybody seen this work and if so is there a setting to change to enable it.

I don't see anything like what you are describing in the What's new? The Edge Flange has never made an Automatic Dimension in the sketch of the Edge flange. That has to be added manually or you can use Automatic Dimensions I guess. There is no setting to turn this on either.

Edge flange can also be controled by the Property Manager.

Please point out where it says this is suppose to be this away in SW06.

Now if you are talking about the drawings, there it adds the some dimensional information about the SM component. See "What's New" or Help for further understanding.

This feature is mentioned on page 26 of the what's new highlights booklet that comes with the discs, under edge flange improvements.

Double Click the feature to see the flange length dimension. It a feature dimension, not a sketch dimension.

That's so you can go back edit the flange profile sketch to meet your needs and add dimensions to it to constrain your flange profile, in which the automatic length then disappears as it's no longer used.

Sorry I don't get the Booklet. I only have the PDF version of "What's New" under the Help. Thanks CBL that was entertaining.
