hello everyone,
i am working in analysis and design of NDCT in sap2000 in this i have a problem in taking output. i need the axial forces of columns. shell is supported on 46 pairs of columns so i have to design the columns as per the axial forces. i gave load combinations as per BS4485 and i got the analysis report. in that all the columns has same axial forces it doesn't take the load combinations. i guess it took only dead load as a case. so help me to solve this problem.

For design, you need to define load combinations and then go to Design menu and used Select design combos to makes sure your selected design combos are used. If you don't do design, then load combos should be included in the analysis results by default.

It would be a better idea to use a boundary element method software to analyze column reactions than an FEM software. Internal supports in BEM are formulated to include the exact dimensions and locations of columns, walls and cores.

Hope this helps.
