Hi,
When importing user defined sections from Section Wizard, does STAAD.Pro use the same axis (Z & Y axis) system as Section Wizard or does STAAD.Pro instead use the V & U axis
of Section Wizard?

I need clarification on this because I am dealing with some unsymmetrical steel shapes where the Z & Y axis does not align exactly with the V & U axis found in Section Wizard. If you are familiar with a steel angle member and seen how STAAD.Pro rotatess these members local axis differently than a symmentrical shape like a W-shape member to the global axis you know what I am referring to.

Attached please find a section Wizard file (Free Sketch).
Thanks in advance!

Check the axis in the Wizard. It should show you the y & z and v & u axis. They often differ from the StaadPro Model. You should be able to turn on the Full Sections in StaadPro to verify you have the correct orientation.

You may import a section and by right click/labels/beams/beam orientation option you can check whether it has the right local axes.
