I have attached a side by side screenshot of a problem I set up just to learn how to use explicit dynamics.

My problem is doing the problem in 2D and 3D. The 3D results seem to follow real world results. The 2D problem doesn't deform the same and the results differ. I applied a Axisymmetric condition like if you were to do a pressure vessel problem.

What could be wrong with my analysis? Would it be my "Engineering Data" settings?

Thanks in advance.

Attached is the mech data if anyone wants to run the problem. It seems if I apply frictional contact it will get the correct answer, but this shouldn't be required because I'm technically applying friction numbers until I get the right results which is wrong.
