I am trying to model an axisymmetric model using Patran. I have been using CTRIAX element, and I've drawn the model in the x-z plane, so that the part is rotating around the z-axis. The part is quite simple (similar to an empty tube with an inside pressure) however, when I applied the pressure, without any others bc or contraints, the model does not work. I am using NASTRAN as the solver. Do you have any tips?

Not that I'm an expert, but what do you mean by it doesn't work? Is there an error message in Patran? A fatal error in Nastran? Or just it gives you crazy results?

I obtained crazy results!! But I realized what I did wrong: the z-displacements were not correctly contraints. Thanks for the help!
