ASME B16.48 Section 6.2 states that the markings shall be stamped on the tie-bar or handle. In cases where space is limited, the marking shall be on the outside edge of the blind portion of blanks.

In instances such as a 2" Class 150 blank, when the blank thickness and tie-bar/handle length are limited, where is the stamping located?

Any reasonable manufacturer is marking the smallest specticle blind in accordance with the code, in your case ASME B16.48 clause 6.2.
I spoke to a number of manufacturers asking what circumstances would they invoke to not mark the 2" 150# spectacles/blinds in accordance with the code;- invariably the answer was 'no circumstance' would prevent them from correctly marking, otherwise it would be below their standard.
Perhaps the manufacturer of your blank was ashamed of his deed and skipped the marking process for some extra saving on costs. Don't use it.

Thank you for the response gr2. My instincts pointed me in the same direction as your response. I am contacting the supplier to verify the blinds are stamped properly.
