B165 (UNS N04400) to A 790 (UNS S31803/S32205) Welding

Hello All,

What TIG welding wire should be used for the above combination of the base material. API 582 does not have above combination. Can someone help on this one?

Yes, I would suggest buttering the Monel 400 side of the weld joint using Inconel 82. Once this operation is completed, finish the weld joint using ER2209 filler metal.

Thanks Metengr for your reply. It is a fillet weld on job for which we are doing a PQR.
