Hi

I would like to know where AutoCAD store its backups. I lost one hours work due to a power trip in the office. I cannot locate the directory. can one change the directory?

at the menus at the top, drop down "Tools" select "options". select the files tab, scroll down to "Automatic Save File Location" this will show you the location, and alloy you to change the location.
Also go to the Open and Save tab, under Automatic Save you can choose the time between saves, in minutes.

If I remember right the default drive in the local setting directory (see below) of the person logged on to the computer. this directory is a hidden directory, so you will have to unhide it.
this is what my address line looks like

C:\Documents and Settings\johnsonl\Local Settings\Temp
