Ball bounce from the material 1

How can I model ball bounce of the rigid body from elastic-plastic material? I am using Abaqus/Explicit.
There is a ball, which initial speed (predefined field) is 20 m/s. A ball is moving towards the fixed on the upper side steel plate as can be seen below:

But after the contact was established, ball is still moving forward:

What can I do to define the ball bounce from the steel plate? The ball should change the movement direction after hitting.

Is there a boundary condition for the movement of the ball? Remove it. There should be only the initial condition with the initial velocity. Check the velocity output of the ball, if he is getting slower during impact.

Otherwise the ball might have too much inertia or the plate is not stiff enough. Check mass and velocity of the ball and the material of the plate. Is mass scaling activated?

Great clues Mustaine3, thank you. Mass scaling was activated. It was a problem. Now it is ok.
