Anyone has used a ball joint under high temperature environment? (about 1000F). The normal ball joint use lubricant which will vaporize under such high temp. Is there any self lubrciated ball joint availabe? Hope it can survive under such a high temp.

Any suggestions?

it is awesome. Any ball joint vendor uses this high temp grease? maybe have to ask them to try it.

Tonyche,
You better check on the steel used in the balls. Most commercial ball joints use either a medium carbon or low alloy that will temper at about 850-900 range.
For extended service at 1000 degrees you will likely have to have parts made with some sort of high temp alloy. A286 comes to mind first.
