Balloon problem 1

I have a couple of balloons on my layout the have asterisks in them instead of the detail number from the BOM. It dosen't matter which view I pick the detail in it will always put an asterisk in the balloon. I'm using the solidworks BOM and all of the views are linked to the BOM. Has anyone see this before and if so what did you do to correct this problem.

Help > SolidWorks Help Files > Index > balloons/balloons

Balloons display an asterisk (*) if:

A component is set to Exclude from bill of materials.

- or -

The drawing view is set to Keep linked to BOM and the component is not in the configuration displayed in the BOM.

Thank you. Your repley lead me to the solution. I had all of my views set to one configurtation and the BOM set to a different configuration.
