I have a section view and I had added about 5 balloons. Now the balloons are gone. When I check the BOM contents it shows there are balloons attached to those 5 items But I don't see them. I checked my layers and they are all on. Is there something else I could try?

These would be my first guesses (unless I'm missing something very obvious):

Rebuild drawing using CTRL-Q.

Rebuild the assembly using CTRL-Q while the drawing is open.

Close and reopen drawing.

Check to see if there are any graphics driver issues or updates.

This happens on larger assemblies to me also. Ctrl-q will bring them back but they will go away again at random it seems. I am not sure of the overall fix. The above may be the work-around. It is frustating as it appears to happen with no reason. I end up redoing the ballons and then double balloons show up.

I've had this same problem with large assemblies. Turns out SolidWorks would hide them for some reason, and a 'show annotations' would bring them back. Also, I had my drawing view locked. When I unlocked it and moved it slightly, the balloons would appear again.

.. and the driver?

Should be 6.14.10.9136 version providing you are running SW2007 on XPx32. If you are already running this driver, try re-installing per faq559-1194

If that doesn't work try going back to the 6.14.10.7756 version.
