Please correct me if I have made any errors here. As far as we understand the codes, if you have a sprinkled building with at least 20 sprinkler heads IFC 903.4 it is required that the system be monitored by a central station, have a Fire Alarm Panel, at least one pull station NFPA 72 (2002) 72-49 6.8.5.1.2, a smoke detector at the Fire Alarm Panel- NFPA 72 (2002) 72-28 4.4.5, at least one Horn/Strobe on each floor NFPA 72 (2002) 72-50 6.8.6.1, monitor each flow and each tamper on separte zones, have a UL listed dual line dialer with a dedicated phone line for the primary and a non-dedicated phone line for the secondary tied to an RJ31X block for line siezure. This means that a two zone fire panel would no longer meet code since you need a min. of 4 zones.
