Basics of Elevators and Elevator Loading for Structural Engineers 3

Good Evening,
I am doing a presentation at my work to provide a background of commonly used types of elevators and the different structural support requirements for each. I have a few resources that I am using but am mostly drawing from previous elevator shop drawings that I have reviewed. If anyone might know of a textbook or useful reference on this topic, I would appreciate that enormously!

My experience is:

[li]Get a vague preliminary drawing from the elevator manufacturer.[/li]
[li]Try through squinting, enlarging and a Oujia Board to figure out what they want.[/li]
[li]During construction, get a call how you did it all wrong. Change to something else.[/li]

This has been sort of similar to my experience, but I figure that maybe if I can learn more about what goes into elevator design / planning it would be easier to avoid these types of changes later down the road.
