I need help regarding BASLER DECS200.

Problem: We are trying to connect to the 13.2KV grid a 3MW SIEMENS-MAN DIESEL Gen-set. The rated voltage of the generator is 13.8KV. Will BASLER DECS200 do the job synchronizing with the 13.2KV grid?

The DECS will do voltage matching, but won't do frequency and phase angle to actually synchronise the unit. Or are you asking whether the DECS will allow you to operate at below nominal voltage? In this case, the answer is yes.

It sounds like you are looking for an Auto Synchronizer, ANSI Dev # 25A, which automatically adjusts the voltage and frequency to match the reference signal.

Generally there is also a sync check relay (set a little wider for phase angle) as a backup in series with the 25A in the closing circuit.

Both Basler and Woodward make popular units. I'm sure there are others out there as well.

Thank you mgtrp! Im actually asking if DECS200 will allow me to operate below nominal voltage and in this case 13.2KV.

From the instruction manual the DECS 200 will operate over the following ranges.
60 Hertz Sensing
Range 1: 120 Vac (94 to 153 Vac)
Range 2: 240 Vac (187 to 305 Vac)
Range 3: 400 Vac (374 to 600 Vac)
Range 4: 600 Vac (510 to 660 Vac)

Assuming 13.2 kV to 120 V PTs, the unit should work perfectly.
Assuming 138 kV to 120 V PTs the unit will see (13.2/13.8 x 120) 114.8 Volts which is within the sensing range.
Remember this is free advice but it looks as if it will work.
Can you use 13.2 kV:120 V PTs and remove all doubt?
