We are currently going through a lengthy process of converting Catia files to NX. Step 1 of this process is to open the .igs files in native NX and then immediately save them which converts them into .prt files. Right now we have to do this one at a time. I assume there should be some simple script or batch file which could open up all of the .igs files in a given folder, save them, and then immediately close them with no other changes done to the files. I have a working knowledge of programming but I have no experience creating such a script for NX. Any help or advice on this is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

There is some code here that might be a good start. It doesn't do exactly what you are looking for, but it shows how to process all the files in a given folder.

Edit: On second thought, the IGES translator would probably work better for you (at least with less hassle). Open the NX program group (from the start menu) and look for the translators. The IGES translator should allow you to quickly select all the files in a folder and submit them for tranlsation.
