Batch Print / PDF

I'm using SWX Standard 2011 x64.

How do I batch a group of drawings to print? Also, I'd like to batch a group of drawings to PDF combined in to a single file, in a single process if possible.

The printing can be done with SolidWorks task manager. Not sure about the PDF compiling though.

I search the forum and came up with thread from 2007, 2009....most of the links didn't work. The link you posted also isn't working for me. (404 - File or directory not found.)

Many jobs we do have 20-50 pages of drawings. Combining the PDF in to a single book makes it 100% easier (for me) to manage, email, and to file.

AutoCAD's batch utility used to run this function for us perfectly. I could batch a job, and have it print a set, and PDF a set in a single function (didn't even have to open the drawings). 50 pages would take less than 5 minutes. So far I've found that it takes me about 10x longer to do the same function in SWX. To open each drawing, print them, then PDF them....repeat 20+ times....then go back with Acrobat and combine the loose PDF sheets.

Task scheduler will create the individual pdfs for you. To combine the pdfs into a single pdf, you will need to do that in your pdf program. Adobe Acrobat Pro calls this function combine.

pac4swx will batch the pdf file conversion for you. My non-licensed copy has expired, but I used it a lot.
SWupBB 2010 lite saves a pdf every time you save the drawing:

and it's free. That eliminates to whole conversion step. It's also how I archive old revs when I change the file name.

For those of use without the SolidWorks Professional version, task scheduler doesn't seem to be able to do anything like this.

I can have it convert SolidWorks files into the 2012 version from whatever previous version, but that's about it.

Are there any alternatives for us non-fancy pants SolidWorks users?

(also would love to find a way to batch eDrawings convert as well)

Correct. I have SWX STD x64.

No scheduler.

I tried to load SWupBB 2010, but 64 bit is not supported, or 2010 doesn't work with SW2011. It does not show up in the add-ins.
