Dear Experts,

Can you please help me !!!!
I need to design a battery disconnector(solid state)
Can anyone please sketch me one of their design?

This device is to disconnect the battery from the loads when crashes and to prevent over-current and over-voltage.

Hi Andrew:
You are asking the wrong forum; this is not engineering question.

Let me illustrate: Let's suppose you want a 1" iron cube.

If 99% iron and .01 inch tolerance is OK, this is a 5 cents part.

If you want .001 inch tolerance it may be $5.- each.

If .1 nanoinch you may better start to budget the research institute to develop the technology first...

Engineering is the science of possible. It can find solution only for actual problems.

Suggestions:
1. A solid state relay may be used with the current sensor over the shunt sensor.
2. The current sensor would include another solid state relay that actuates on high battery current that is sensed in terms of higher voltage across the shunt to actuate the solid state relay. The solid state relay would open its contact and interrupt the power solid state relay turn on supply. Then, the power solid state relay would open the battery circuit, thus protecting your load and battery.
3. An overvoltage protection relay or scheme is normally incorporated in the battery charger to prevent the battery from damage. If you do not have a charger then the overvoltage protection scheme is recommended.
