I need to run different fans at room temperature for approx. 12 hours at a time and need them to be run by battery power (the smaller/lighter the better). Can anyone advise me on what type of battery I need.

Type of fans:

i)12V, 0.38A, 4.56W
ii) 12V, 1.1A, 13.2W

For a room not exceeding say 77 deg F with a conditioned space. Rule of thumb is (Amp * hr *1.3) will give you the size of battery required in AH. Use a battery of calcualted AH at rated voltage.

For batteris in parallel, total AH is sum of batteries in parallel, voltage remains the same.

For batteries in series AH remains constant, voltage adds up.

For the type of batteries, consult a manufacturer who can advise the right type for your environment and application . For a normal conditioned room enviroinment, dry sealed type batteries will do.

Do not forget the Battery Charger:)

As always a good manufacturer rep is your best source of information.
