I have a task for designing a shaft for a roundabout that is able to limit the speed, are there any bearing that can do that? or is there anyway to limit the speed of it turning?
Thanks,

Hi,

You could try and use a centrifugal brake...

Best regards,
Sven

What is powering/driving the shaft ?
Does the shaft do work of some kind?

2 down, 18 to go.

Not my task. Other guys are available to hastily point out that students should do their work themselves. Asking someone else isn't the most effective way to learn designing.
BTW, bearings that limit speed do not exist.

Half full - Half empty? I don't mind. It's what in it that counts.

it is for a playground roundabout, therefore i would like to know if there are ways to limit the speed of it.
I understand that it seems like im just asking for people to do my work, I am simply asking for a point to the correct direction thanks
