For any of you younger folks out there, some advice-
Avoid Bentley products altogether. Years ago they were the best, but since they went public, they changed their approach.
I've always upgraded as the company updated the product. Now using Microstation Connect Version 10.17.02.61. That's 17 plus revisions and it's still very buggy. I mean just chock full of small defects. They now have released Microstation 2023, it's the same.
