I have to bolt some shelf angles to a concrete column/wall....very light loads.
I was just curious what Hilti products others have had good success when. (Client wants Hilti).

Indoor heated space.

HVU capsule with HAS Rod?

HAS rod, easy to connect to, easy to install. If light loaded, I would use a Kwikbolt

Every time i've spec'd re-500, the first RFI on the job is asking to switch to HY-150 due to the long cure times on RE-500. I think they develop similar strength, but RE-500 works in core drilled holes, underwater, etc.

so, your contractor liked the faster curing HY-150?

I specify Hilti whenever possible, and use HY150, RE500, and Kwik-Bolt 3. There is a handy table in the manual that will indicate which product works best for the material you are anchoring to, and the application (seismic, creep, etc)

Simpson Set-Xp, Strong bolt 2, Titen HD.

They are cheaper, did not charge an arm and a leg when the code changed and Simpson is not responsible for Appendix D.

In addition, the rep. for Simpson in our area is far more knowledgeable than the Hilti rep. It is not good when you point out errors in the reps. calculations during a slid show.
