Hello,
If possible, can you help me develop a list of topics to include on a best practice document for relief devices? From design, material selection, installation, maintenance...
Thank you,

I'd start the information seen in API 520 & 521. The Crosby/Emerson Relief Valve Handbook has a lot of good information (also a lot of repeat from API). DIERS has a ton of information you could pull as applicable. Don't forget to cover what you can and can't do per ASME BPV.

My experience is primarily in the maintenance side, so I will only address that aspect. The PRV Manufacturers have Installation and Maintenance Manuals available on their websites. I recommend you take advantage of them. Several Manufacturers have seminars available as well. I teach classes on PRV Maintenance (Hands-On Inspection, Repair & Testing for Compressible & Incompressible Fluids, as well as Theory of Operation and ASME Code/National Board Inspection Code VR Requirements) in North Carolina six times a year. I would pleased to provide info if you are interested. I hope this is helpful.

We are using the requirements of API 520 and 521. It has been very interesting work. It is still ongoing with a group of people at different countries. The final product will be interesting for sure, but I will not be able to see it since the company I work for was bought and we were separated into different entities, now we are competitors. I doubt I will see the final product.

Many thanks for your ideas and suggestions.
