Best ways to keep sediment out of catch basin and storm chambers system.

Was looking for the best ways to keep sediment out of a catch basin and storm chamber system. What works and what does not?
The native soil is sandy and well drained. Doing a 30 foot long run of 3 feet tall storm chambers with a catch basin leading to it, probably will do an infiltrator row. This is to correct a water ponding problem in the road. We have an 8 foot depth to the water table.

If you have lots, then you have to create a small hydraulic structure (size depends on the amount) with a sediment trap/screen with basins or geotextile filter fabric to prevent it from entering the system Often catchbasins have sufficient depth to 'trap' unwanted sediment, but, depends on the quantity.

I've been involved with large desilting basins that are several hundred feet long and maybe 100' wide with a sloped entrapment area and a steeper sloped containment 'pit' and silt material has been removed by front end loaders...

Somone has to do maintenance on this. That is absolutely required and will be ignored by the people that set maintenance budgets.

Maintenance is going to be crucial. I have seen catch basin filters etc but there is alot of sand washing down road (in a beach town). I plan to do a small sediment trap in front of catch basin with block and gravel inlet protection I also plan to have a 6 foot sump (total depth of catch basin) to trap unwanted sediment. I am attaching another picture of what I am working with, sand dunes with water ponding from all diffrent directions in this low area.

start with stone/gravel check dams across the gutter width and then install inlet protection at the inlets. you want to screen out the sediments before they get into the inlet.

If you don't have the surface land space to do a sediment trap before it enters the stormwater piping system, you could consider a vortex manhole. Something like this I found from a quick google search, there are several on the market:

But, like others have said, something like this requires maintenance or it will stop working or make things worse.
